Donations made to Adopt One Village to support a trip participant will be collected and applied to the actual trip costs for that person. If the person does not raise enough for a specific trip, their balance will be applied to a future trip and fundraising will continue. Optionally, if the trip becomes an impossibility for the person or they decide to cancel their participation in all future trips, they will have the power to designate the funds to the Adopt One Village general fund which is used to build / maintain the school system, build / maintain the clean water systems, provide emergency medical support to those in the village, etc. Refunds of donations will not be possible in many, if not all situations except as mandated by law or as agreed to by an Adopt One Village Board of Directors member.
